Annex Quest House was designed by Kathleen Cox, the founder of Vastu Living and former long-term resident of India, who worked with Toronto-based wood artisans to create the vastu ambience at Annex Quest House.

Guestrooms which are individually dedicated to the five basic elements of either, air, fire, water and earth, have soothing yet vibrant colors that reflect the physical and psychological property of each specific element.

The decor in each of our rooms observes the vastu preference for asymmetry in the placement of the furnishings. Asymmetrical design, which flows through the world of nature and conforms to the features on the human body, helps guests feel at ease.

Every guestroom also honours the heart of the vastu philosophy, which advocates the protection of the environment and all its creations. Dark pine can be found throughout the Quest House. The wide plank floors, tastefully simple beds, side tables, bureaus, towel racks and even toilet paper holders are all holistic creations. Most were handcraft with minimal wastage and integrate beautifully into the completely natural decor.
